Discover Real Transformation
She changed her relationship with stress. You can too.
As a longtime practitioner, I’m sold on the power of mindfulness to change lives and empower leaders. I’ve experienced it in my life, and I’ve seen how it’s worked for countless others.
Still, it is always fulfilling when someone new to mindfulness discovers that power for the first time in a very real and meaningful way. That happened—once again—following the Inseus Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course in Chicago this past spring.
Shortly after the end of the course, I received an email from one of the participants, a woman who says she sought out MBSR because of her high levels of anxiety. She described it as a “tendency to go deep down a rabbit hole” every time something stressful or unpleasant occurred in her life. She said she felt her life was spinning out of control.
Her decision to pursue mindfulness as a solution proved correct. MBSR teaches us how to reframe our relationship with stress and to cope more effectively with the challenges—big or small—that inevitably arise in everyone’s life, whether they have to do with our health, home life, relationships, or profession.
In her email, she also noted, “After taking the course, my physical health has improved, my relationships with my family and colleagues at work have gotten better, and I’ve found more clarity with small tasks and strategic thinking.”
Naturally, I’m always gratified to hear real-world stories attesting to the results of MBSR training. I also know that the evidence of its impact on our lives is more than anecdotal.
Research shows that eight weeks of MBSR training actually rewires our neural networks, improves cognition, memory and executive function, and produces extensive physiological benefits. The result is a healthier, more resilient, productive, and peaceful you.
The Inseus MBSR course I teach uses the same, time-tested curriculum developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center over 30 years ago. I’m offering it again starting in early September. If you’d like to learn if it’s right for you, check out the MBSR course description. Space is limited, so if you’re interested in enrolling, I encourage you to act soon.
MBSR can be a life-changing experience. As our recent participant said, “I feel encouraged and empowered knowing that I can choose my path and not be controlled by external triggers. I’m more present and focused than ever before.”
See you soon,
