Half-Day Mindfulness Retreat

On Saturday, July 16th, join us in-person at ALTAR Community—an urban oasis in Chicago’s lively Logan Square neighborhood—for this special half-day mindfulness retreat. Whether it’s your first introduction to mindfulness or part of your ongoing practice, you’ll come away refreshed and reenergized with greater clarity, a renewed sense of purpose, and a toolkit of practices to integrate into daily life.

Throughout our half-day retreat, you’ll experience:

  • Various types of mindfulness meditations designed to increase focus & awareness and to connect with compassion & empathy.

  • Mindful movement practices, including walking meditation and gentle hatha yoga, to help you stretch your body and mind.

  • Various breathing and body awareness exercises to help you learn how to manipulate your nervous system in order to tame anxiety and reactivity.

  • An experiential session of SoulCollage®—an expressive arts practice that develops creativity and intuition, encourages self-discovery, and provides personal guidance.

  • A mindful eating session, featuring healthy lunch from a local favorite.

Our retreat will begin promptly at 9 AM. You’re also invited to join us at 8:30 AM for coffee & light breakfast and to socialize with everyone before our formal practice time gets underway.
